George Anthony Farkas, Jr. 76, of Charlotte, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Farkas was born July 17, 1946, in New York, NY to the late George Anthony Farkas, Sr. and the late Leocadia Chaikovzka Farkas.
As a young man, George developed a passion for building model airplanes with his father and this passion continued till the week before his passing. He had an extremely long career in banking that took him from Wall Street to New Jersey to North Carolina.
Survivors include wife, Elizabeth Ann Cranwell of Charlotte, NC. He was smitten with her from the day they met until the very end and with whom he enjoyed traveling and good food and wine. He is also survived by his siblings Margaret Kaplan, Carole Michaels, Joan Farkas, and John Farkas, many nieces and nephews, friends, and beloved cat babies Cassiopea and Gabby.
