George Allen Lewis, age 82 of Midland, passed away Sunday morning, March 20, 2022 at his home. He was born in Detroit on May 17, 1939 to the late James and Mary (Foster) Lewis. George loved to be outdoors with his favorite hobbies being fishing and hunting. He married the former Dawn Martin in Oil City on May 17, 2006 and she survives him after nearly 16 years of marriage.
Surviving are his son, Jay (Carrie) Lewis of Hope, grandchildren, T.Jay (Kelly) Lewis of Midland and their children Emmett and James, Eric (Claire) Lewis of Fraser, and Tara Lewis of Hope. His son, Ken (Wendee) Lewis of Midland, grandchild, Caitlin Lewis of Midland. His son, Earl (Jennifer) Lewis of Midland, grandchildren, Jesse (Helena) Lewis of Midland and their children Briella and Ethan, Grace Lewis of Midland and Sophie Lewis of Midland. His daughter, Cathie Westjohn of Albuquerque, New Mexico, grandchildren Allison (Doug) Compton of Huntsville, Alabama and their child Cale, Leana (Jay) Kelly of Lake Jackson, Texas and their child Lennon, and Colin Westjohn of Clute, Texas. Also surviving are his sister, Debbie (David) Ullrich of Saginaw along with many nieces and nephews.
