George Alan McCready, age 70, of Geneva on the Lake, Ohio, a former Wellsville resident, died March 21, 2012 at his home following an illness. He was born April 16, 1941 in East Liverpool, Ohio, the son of the late Ralph C. and Elizabeth M. (Simko) McCready.
Before his retirement, Mr. McCready had been a professor at Kent State University for 39 years. He was a graduate of Kent State University with a master’s degree in Biological Science. Survivors include a sister, Suzanne (Dr. Frank) Bailey of Salem; a niece Aubrey Bailey; and a nephew, Perry Bailey.
