George A. Pufahl, 72, of Dalzell, died January 6, 2010 at Spring Valley Nursing Center.
Mr. Pufahl was born on May 20, 1937 in Ottawa to Fred and Mary (Measles) Pufahl. He married Ellen Zimmerman on May 17, 1958 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Leonore. He was an electrician at Carus Chemical for more than 30 years. He was a member of St. Thomas More Church in Dalzell, honorable member of Dalzell Rod and Gun Club, Spring Valley Boat Club, officer in International Chemical Workers Local 79, and Carus Chemical Employee Credit Union.
He is survived by his wife Ellen of Dalzell; two sons, Robin (Kathy) Pufahl of LaSalle, Jeffrey (Lynn) Pufahl of Lacon; one daughter, Michelle Pufahl of Marseilles; two grandchildren; and one brother, Fred (Judy) Pufahl of Ottawa.
He was preceded in death by two daughters in infancy and his parents. Pallbearers will be Jim Vincent, John Andes, Jeff Struna, Mike Pufahl, Logan Pufahl, and Cora Pufahl.
