George A. Green 88 of 210 Moore St. passed away on Tuesday, February, 21, 2017 at his home.

George A. Green was born April 4,1928 in Calhoun County South Carolina to the late Arthur Green and Gertrude Robinson. He was the second of 3 Children. He was preceded in death by his Sister Nettie Livingston, and Daniel Green, His companion Ms. Jean Johnson, Geraldine Livingston, His surviving Niece Donna Livingston, and surviving Nephew Stanley Livingston, family friend Peggy Williams, and a host of family friends and a very devoted Brother in -law Mr. Grover Livingston.

Mr.. Green attended South Carolina school for the blind in Columbia South Caroline and moved to Washington DC in the early 1950’s upon arriving in DC, Mr. Green was employed by Kitts Piano company for a number of years before he went into business for himself and had a thriving Piano Tuning Business and Real Estate Investor.

Mr. Green was an outstanding business man who didn’t let his visual handicapped stop him from attaining the American Dream. At his peak Mr. Green had 4 houses under his ownership. He was a real go getter who supported not only himself but many families who relied on his economic resources to sustained themselves. He was a very generous man who loved to swim, listened to the blues, and give very good advice on whatever subject you wanted to talk about. He will be truly missed.

Last but not least the family want to express their appreciation for Mrs. Alvera Underwood and Mr. Charles Underwood for taking care of Mr. Green for the last year and a half of his life.
