Mr. Geoffery Charles Coburn, 49, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 4:00 am at his home following an extended illness. He was born on January 19, 1973 in Elkhart to the late Charles K. “Chuck” Coburn and Lina (Fedorow) Coburn, who survives Geoff in Wawaka, Indiana. On July 16, 2015, he married Tiffany Fry in Cromwell and she survives him at home.

Also surviving Geoff are his children Alyssa (Pat) Coryn, Preston (Burgandy Rinaldi) Coburn and Brianna Baldwin, all of Elkhart, Brody Taylor and Jenna Coburn, both from Ligonier, and Paige Miller from Canton, Georgia; sisters Michelle (Scott) Burchett of Ligonier and Allison Click of Wolcottville; grandchildren Skyanne L., Jasper A. C. and Axel G. E. Coryn, all three at home, and a large host of loving extended family, friends and acquaintances.

Geoff had worked most of his life in production in the local RV industry, but as of late he could only work “on again and off again” due to recurring health issues. As a result, his faithful wife Tiffany did what she could to help the family, and Geoff considered her his “guardian angel” as she always worked hard to make ends meet and Geoff was always appreciative and thankful for such a thrifty wife. He also had a blended family when it came to the kids, but he loved them all equally and fiercely, as his children meant everything to him. Geoff understood the unspoken code of a good father and did what he could to be part of their lives. He also would try to see his mom whenever he could, and he thought about his two sisters fondly and often. Finally, we should also mention his faithful pittie “Pooh-Bear”, who was his sweet, shy sidekick, and she pretty much went everywhere Geoff went.

While Geoff tried to manage his health issues, he would often take long walks with Pooh and the family, visit nearby parks and watch his favorite TV programs like The First 48, Court Cam and other “seedy” crime dramas. In fact, the seedier the better, and Geoff loved a good whodunit! Geoff always seemed to look at the bright side of things, and never gave up, even in the face of great adversity. He has a strong soul, a loving heart and did everything he could to make sure others had something, even if it meant he had to do a job for no pay. To Geoff, honor was everything and it was no wonder, as he has served faithfully in the United States Marine Corps in 29 Palms, San Diego, as a fire direction controller.
