Genny “Grams” (Ellis) Mead, 78, of Greenwood, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017, in Greenwood. She was born on January 14, 1939, in Bowling Green, Ky, to her parents, Frank and Ella (Beesley) Ellis.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. Her favorite activities were to watch her great-grandchildren play sports, reading, doing cross-word puzzles, and watching game shows. She also enjoyed bowling and dancing.
Genny is survived by her four children, Frances (Carl) Furgeson of Indianapolis, Robert (Susan) Mead II of Cottonwood, Arizona, Ronald (Jackie) Mead of Bismarck, North Dakota, and William (Melinda) Mead of Surprise City, Arizona, nine grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, Esau and Neil Ellis, and a great-grandson, Christopher Jordan Rosado.
