Gennaro “John” Costantini, 99, of Belleville, IL, formerly of San Pedro, CA, born April 1, 1918 in Buffalo, NY, passed away on December 23, 2017 in Belleville, IL. Gennaro was a member of First Presbyterian Church of San Pedro, CA. He was a former member, served as former Secretary, and was a Past-Master for the LA Harbor Masonic Lodge #332 of San Pedro, CA. Gennaro worked as an Optometrist and was a member of the American Optometric Association. Gennaro’s true passion was being in the garage and working on cars. He enjoyed the outdoors which included camping, traveling cross country and to Canada with his wife, Muriel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Costantini, nee DeJenaro; wife, Muriel Costantini, nee Wallace; two sisters, Mary Pugh and Elsie Aboud.
He is survived by two children, James (Shirley) Costantini of Belleville, IL, Joan Costantini of San Pedro, CA; two sisters, Anna Fava of Batavia, NY, Edna Bradley of Walnut Creek, CA; five grandchildren, Kelsie Patton, Alyssa Costantini, Emily Costantini, Austin Costantini, and Erica Costantini.
