Genevieve “Jean” Petelin, 91, of LaSalle, passed away at 11:45 PM Tuesday (Sept. 29, 2015) at Heritage Health in Peru.
She was born June 19, 1924 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Pasquale and Angelina Luciano.
She was a crossing guard in LaSalle and also worked at the Gift Box.
Genevieve is survived by three sons, Patrick (Linda) Petelin of LaSalle, James (Jo Ellen) Petelin of Chico, CA and John (Janet ) Petelin of LaSalle; seven grandchildren: Dr. Andrew Petelin, Amy (Tom) Turri and A.J., James, Anna, Merri and Megan Petelin; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Anna Logan of New Jersey and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007, one sister, Dorothy and her brother Dominic.
