Genevieve was born September 1, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Genevieve Nawman and Francis Drehobl. On June 3, 1959 she married Henry Garcia in Truth or Consequences. She was a communicant of the Catholic Church. Genevieve was an avid reader and loved traveling with family.
She is survived by her husband; 2 sons, Tim Garcia (Gina), Alamosa, CO and Jeff Garcia, Santa Clara; 3 daughters, Linda Miera (John), Taos, Lisa Garcia, Silver City, Laura Atallah (Raja), Santa Barbara, CA; 2 brothers, Robert Drehobl and Donald Drehobl, both from Chicago, IL; sister, Rosemary Poe, Chicago, IL and 5 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Daniel Garcia.
