Genevieve D. McLaughlin, 90, of Omaha, NE died Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Remington Heights, Omaha, NE.
Genevieve was born on June 27, 1925 in Henderson, IL the daughter of Thomas and Grayce (Murray) Shea. She married James E. McLaughlin on October 5, 1948 in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Wataga. He preceded her in death, also on September 27 th in 1981. Genevieve is survived by two sons, Daniel M. McLaughlin of Curtice, OH and Patrick T. (Virgie) McLaughlin of Skokie, IL; two daughters, Susan M. (Derald) Peters of Omaha, NE and Therese A. (Jeffry) Huffman of Minot ,ND; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Michael F. (Sherrol) Shea and two sisters, Anne McClure and Alice Stablein. Along with her husband, Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Donald “Doc” Shea and sisters, Margaret Shea, Mary Jeanne Shea, Kathleen Roach.
Genevieve worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Thermogas Co in Galesburg.
