Geneva Hayes Alexander, 83, of Lincolnton passed away Sunday July 28, 2019 at Carolina Rehab Center in Burke. Born December 2, 1935 in Chester, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Porter Hayes and Lydia Chisholm Hayes. She was preceded in death by her late husband Valley Alexander and son Warren Alexander. Her six sisters Rosa Lee Reinhardt, Thelma Miles, Helen Miles, Willie Mae Boston, Addie Lou Rogers and Carrie Cunningham and one brother Clinton Hayes. Geneva retired from Home Sponge Hosiery and was a faithful member of Poplar Springs A.M.E Zion Church where she sang in the choir. Geneva loved to cook, make a good pound cake, dance and travel.
Left to cherish her memory:4 Daughters: Judy (Robert) Barber of Hickory, Robin (Joe) Caldwell of Powder Springs GA, Sylvia (Scotty) Sowell and Annie Alexander both of Lincolnton. Grandchildren: Tasha, Warren, Michael, Rodney, Stephen, Lillie, Ulanda, Phallon, Latasha,Sarah and Darius. Great Grandchildren: Tyreke, Goddess, Tamya, Taivon, Brayson, Amoni, Aubriana,Grant, Braylon, Issac, Josiah, Isaiah, Serenity, Prisha, Sanquios, Stacyohnna and Payton along with host of nieces and nephews.
