Cambridge City- Geneva Frances Stickleman, 87, passed away on Thursday morning March 4, 2010 at the home of her niece in Cambridge City, Indiana after a brief illness. A daughter of the late William Omer and Mattie Reed (Sturgeon) Clemons, Geneva was born in Cynthiana, Kentucky on February 18, 1923. She moved to the Cambridge City community when she was 5 years old and attended school here. Following her marriage to Robert “Bob” Stickleman on March 18, 1939 in Mt. Auburn, Indiana, he joined the United States Navy. They made their home in California and Boulder City, Nevada for many years. Geneva and her husband moved back to Richmond, Indiana in 1991. She enjoyed playing BINGO with and being a dear friend to her extended family at Cambridge Square Apartments in Richmond.
Geneva will be missed dearly by her 3 nieces, Darlene Sue Frame of Cambridge City, Arlene Kay Price of Elwood and Drena Ruth Douglas of Richmond; several nieces and nephews including these whom became like grandchildren to her, Michael and Karen Frame, Melissa and Eric Vance all of Centerville and Molly Frame of New Castle; brother inlaw, Elvin Worth of New Castle and her dear friend Margaret.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Boyd Stickleman on August 5, 2007 and her sister,
Lucille Worth on November 18, 1995.
