Our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Geneva Faye Lowder, 91, was called home on August 28, 2022.

She was born October 12, 1930 in Grand Junction, Colorado, the daughter of William Edward and Mildred Virginia McGlohn Wolfe.

She married Delmar Frank Lowder on December 31, 1948, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Darrel, Christina, and Jay.  Delmar passed away on August 20, 1997.

Geneva worked by her beloved husband’s side on their fruit farm for many years.  They later retired and lived in Northern California during the summer and Arizona during the winter. She lived the later part of her life in Wenden, Arizona, and a few years in Fruita, Colorado prior to moving to Ogden, Utah to be closer to her family.

She was a devoted Christian and was a member of the Clifton Christian Church in Clifton, Colorado.

Mom was a hard worker.  She loved to cook, and her apple, lemon and chocolate pies are legendary. She also loved to paint and specialized in painting scenery, wildlife, and birds.

She is survived by her children, Darrel W. (Jan) Lowder, Christina J. Lowder, and Jay M. (Lisa) Lowder, six grandchildren, Matthew, Brooke, Levi, Chellee, Heather and Jessica and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother Francis Edward Wolfe.
