Gene R. Egan of Burlington, died Friday, October 21st at Lourdes Hospital in Camden, NJ, he was 52 years of age. Born on September 21, 1959 in Mt. Holly, NJ, Gene has been a lifetime Burlington resident. He had been employed as a painter for Stylex Co. for 20 years and more recently had been employed by the City of Burlington for 9 years with the Water Department.
A member and Past Chief of the Hope Fire Company, and Past Assistant Chief of Burlington City Fire Department, he also served as Vice President of the “T.K. Club” in Burlington and also been a member of the Burlington Moose. A Philadelphia Eagles fan, Gene also enjoyed swimming in his spare time. He is survived by his two children: Nicholas Egan of Limerick, PA, and Brandi Egan of Burlington.
He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren: Lilly Egan, Jadin Egan, Asmar Barber, Jr., and Gionna Trowell; his brother William Egan and sister Lisa Turner both of Burlington as well as his niece and three nephews: Samantha Alers, Drew Turner, Nick Salvatore and Mason Turner.
