Gene Allan “Geno” DiCarlo of Louisville, Colorado passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.
Gene Allan was born January 20, 1953 in Boulder, Colorado to Eugene “Gene” and Palmena “Pal” DiCarlo. He graduated from Louisville High School in 1971. Gene Allan married Vickie Talbitzer on September 24, 2005 in Louisville, Colorado.
Geno worked at Rocky Flats, managed Senor T’s, the Blue Parrot and worked as an insulator/pipefitter for Local Union 128 until he retired in 2015. He was a volunteer coach for Louisville little league baseball, football and wrestling and was a member of St. Louis Parish. He enjoyed fly fishing, camping and was an enthusiastic sports fan of the Rockies, Broncos and the Colorado Buffaloes.
Gene Allan was preceded in death by his parents Gene and Pal, his grandparents Pasquale and Donata DiCarlo, Onorio and Lucia Ferrera and his brother-in-law Billy Elrod. He is survived by his wife Vickie, step-son Josh Talbitzer, step-grandchildren Dylan, Devon and Delaney, his sisters Paula Elrod, Karen, his brother Dino (Leslie), his nieces and nephews Breeann (Ronson), Dino (Breanna “Bre”), Derek, his great-nieces and nephews Layla, Dayton, Drake, awaiting the birth of Aria, his aunt Rosie and Jim Gilbert.
