It is with much love that we mourn the passing of our beloved mother Gearldean McCormick (born Gearldean Sticher/Wilson) a resident of Birmingham, AL. She passed peacefully while in San Antonio, TX with family at her side.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Pandora McElroy, Pamela McBrayer-Felton (Craig), Daren McCormick (Cindi), Doranda Coker, grandchildren; Autumn McElroy, Avery Felton, Tyler Franklin, Jody McCormick, Josh McCormick, Jacob Garmon, Jessi Garmon, Tori Coker, and 5 great grandchildren, her sister Lois Young (Gary), brothers; Jim Beasley (Sue), Ronald Beasley; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her devoted husband Charles J. McCormick; parents Ludie & Hobert Beasley; brothers, Bill Beasley, Carlton Beasley, and Gene Sticher.

Gearldean was born in Hanceville AL, raised her children in Cullman, AL, as well as Ingleside TX. Later in life she moved to Birmingham, AL. She spent her final days in the care of her daughter in Helotes, Texas.

Getting together with family and friends to play cards was one of her favorite past-times.

While living in Ingleside Texas she was involved in the local garden club.

Whether renovating a whole house to flip or just revamping a room, her stubborn nature worked in her favor. She was always looking for the next project to tackle.

Gearldean’s love for travel took her on numerous road trips across the country. Her excursions abroad included England, France, Belgium, Spain, and Mexico. She was always looking forward to her next travel adventure.

Due to her declining health and COVID-19 restrictions her favorite go-to activity became coloring. Her creative juices began to flow, whether on canvas or paper, with markers, pens, and pencils she spent countless hours creating her little master pieces.

1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235.
