Gary Wayne Kramer was born on May 26, 1936, at Ft. Dodge, Iowa, the son of Charles R. and Frances (Reiter) Kramer. He graduated from Palmer High School in 1954, and then served in the United States Army from 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1957. From 1957 until 1963 he farmed in the Gilmore City area. It was during this time that he was united in marriage with Marjorie Vierow on March 15, 1959, at Laurens, Iowa. They moved to Storm Lake in 1963 and stayed there until he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business at Buena Vista University in 1968. He and Marjorie then moved to Rochelle, Illinois, where Gary worked for Swift and Co. until moving back to Palmer in 1978.
Gary is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Marjorie; daughter Colette (Daniel) Prohaska of Grimes, Iowa; son Wayne (Roxanne) Kramer of Waverly, Iowa; six grandsons and one great grandson; as well as his brother Loren (Sarah) Kramer of Frankenmuth, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister Donna Hoberman.
