Mr. Cahill was born March 26, 1951, in Beckley, West Virginia, the son of Lawrence Lester and Elizabeth Sheaves. He married Linda Cartwright July 13, 1974 in Peru, Indiana. He served in the United States army for several years. He was a mechanic and worked for Franklin Industrial Minerals (Later Lhoist) until retiring.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Williams in 1992 and his wife Linda Cahill in 2011; his parents and siblings Franklin Cahill, Caroline Cahill, Mary Ann Cahill, Robert Cahill, Mary Jane Lester, Ruth Cahill and Curtis Cahill.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Eddie Booth, longtime partner Mary Booth, four grandchildren, Ashley Williams, Sabryn Booth, Justin Booth and Aerolynn Booth. Siblings; Isabella Vandall, Jack Lester, Jane Lester, Susan Lester, Viola Lester, Joseph Cahill.
