Gary Stevenson Bray, 74, of Asheboro, died Monday, October 31, 2022 at his residence.
Gary was a native of Chatham County and a longtime resident of Asheboro. He was a veteran of the United States Army, employed as a mechanic with Energizer, and was a member of Holly’s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Ramseur. Gary loved hunting, fishing, and taking care of the koi fish in his pond. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lucille Cockman Bray, sister, Betty Caviness, and brothers, Jerry, Earl, and Roger Bray.
Survivors: wife of 53 years, Faye Bray, of the home, daughter, Angie Bray Hedrick, and husband, Jeff, of Asheboro, sisters, Diane Thurman of Staley, Peggy Stevens, of Ramseur, grandchildren, Landon and Kyle Hedrick, both of Asheboro, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
