He is survived by his wife, Joyce Darlene Penland of Dalton; sons, “Gary” Paul Penland II, Robbie Runyan; daughters, Tonya and Eric Newton of Dalton, Kristie Runyan; brother, Roy Penland of Texas; sisters, Nancy and Junior Poe of Dalton, Tina Penland of Dalton, Carolyn Turner of Dalton, Joan and Doug Bartley; grandchildren, Gavin, Eli, Brinlee, Breanna, Mason, Austin and Vanessa; very special friends; Marlene Fry, Darrell Stewart, W.D. Flener; and several nieces and nephews.
