Gary Martin DiNello (Gary the Welder), 54, of Branford began his next journey on May 2, 2011. He will be greatly missed by his parents James & Rita (Petrillo) DiNello, his wife Cheryl Hall-DiNello, his brothers Jay & John DiNello, sister Gabrielle DiNello, niece Hailey Marie & nephew Tyler Shand. He graduated from West Haven High School, Class of 1974 and in 1976 he received his Associates Degree from Norwalk Tech. From 1988 he was the owner of Custom Boating Fabrication in Branford. He was president of Elm City Gun Club and organized the yearly Branford Festival Car Show. Gary enabled the designs of artists, engineers, car & motorcycle enthusiasts to function and come to life. His fabricating and engineering skills can be seen in numerous magazines. Gary will leave an unfillable void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. We would like to thank the nurses and physicians at Smilow Cancer Center and Branford Hospice for their wonderful, compassionate care.
