Gary Lewis Webster, age 75, passed peacefully on October 30, 2021, in his hometown of Lawrenceville, Georgia. He braved a long-term illness and fought until the very end.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Webster, his brother, Alan Webster, his grandson, James Quinton Lumpkin, and his loving wife of 43 years, Lari Jean (Bachman) Webster.
He is survived by his mother, Wilma (Billie) Webster of Sugar Hill Georgia, three stepdaughters, Audrey Stever (Mark) of Canton Georgia, Paige Klein of Athens Georgia, and Cheryl Rice (Chris) of Hoschton Georgia. Also, surviving are his beloved seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Gary proudly served as a former Mayor of Sugar Hill. He enjoyed the company of his dogs, reading novels by Tom Clancy, and baking his perfect pecan pie during the holidays. He was also an avid coin and stamp collector, but his absolute favorite thing was spending time with the love of his life, Lari Jean.
