Gary Lee Murray, 61, of Jacksonville, died Monday, June 13, 2016, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.
He was born July 17, 1954, in Jacksonville, the son of Orville Lee and Bernita Mae Thompson Murray. He married his longtime companion Milton David Ruyle on March 23, 2012, in Jacksonville and he survives.
He is also survived by one sister, Virginia Mae Robinson of Litchfield; one brother, Carson Tuttle Baptist of Jacksonville; two nieces and one nephew, Cathy (Terry) Hemken of Litchfield, Debra Rolland of Grapevine, TX, and James Robinson of Litchfield; and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; two nephews; and one great niece.
Mr. Murray was a cook at several restaurants including The Blackhawk, Ranch House, and Catervend at Mobil Chemical. He loved to shop.
