Auburndale – Gary Lee Moore, Sr., 74, passed away peacefully, at his home, Thursday, April 24, 2014, as a result of heart failure.
Mr. Moore was a longtime resident of Polk County, FL. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army. Throughout his life, Mr. Moore was a hard worker. He farmed, worked as a construction supervisor, invested in real estate and was a well-liked landlord. He touched many people with his good humor.
He loved boating, fishing, lobster diving, scalloping and mud bogging. More than anything else, Mr.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Dorothy Mask. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Phyllis D. Moore; son, Gary Lee Moore, Jr. and his wife, Beth; daughters, Sharon A. Wilkerson and Toni Cumbess; granddaughters: Kindell Wierzba, Suzanne Richardson, Logan Richardson, and LeeAnn Moore; and great grandson: Nicholas Wierzba.
