Gary L. Mudd, age 55, of 914 Ave. H, Council Bluffs, IA formerly of Galesburg, died on Friday, January 27, 2006, at 11:45 a.m. at Jennie Edmondson Memorial Hospital in Council Bluffs. He was born on December 25, 1950, in Galesburg, the son of Charles E. and Shirley Wright Mudd.
He is survived by one son: Darrell (Danielle) Mudd of Council Bluffs, IA. One step-daughter: Deanna Mudd of Kilgore, TX. One stepson: Dondi (Cindy) Mudd of Mt. Grove, MO. 3 Brothers: Donny (Paula) of Norwood, MO; Danny and Rick both of Galesburg. 2 Sisters: Lois Butts of Galesburg and Kathy Mudd of Galesburg. Also survived by 7 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister. He worked for several years as a caster for Briggs Mfg. in Abingdon until its closure.
He served in the US Army from 1969 to 1972 in Okinawa, Japan. He was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.
