Mr. Gary L. Clanton, age 65, of Lanett, Al., passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.
Mr. Clanton is survived by his wife, Kathy S. Clanton; two children, Samuel David Clanton of Lanett and Jodi (Ronnie) Ware of Opelika; granddaughter, Maegan Worley; two brothers, Jerald (Nancy) Clanton of Birmingham, Al. and Larry (Patsy) Clanton of Lanett; sister, Barbara (Wayne) Yarbrough of Cusseta, Al.; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mr. Clanton was born on August 30, 1948 in West Point, Ga. to the late Theo and Irene Clanton. Mr. Clanton was a member of Victory Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon since 1995.
