Gary John Lancaster, passed away on March 14, 2016. He was born October 27, 1944 in Nashville, TN, to the late Lamon and Julia Lancaster.
He served 22 years in the U. S.
Gary was a spiritual man who supported family wishes as a Christian of faith. Gary enjoyed family first and foremost, golf with friends and family, and being a runner of thirty plus years with his wife Tammy.
He was preceded by his parents and brother, Phillip Lancaster; and mother in-law Darlene Peters.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Lancaster; children, Erin, Jesse and Jennifer; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; son-in-law Anthony (Tony) Taylor; sister, Kathleen Faulkner; father in-law Heye Peters, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Frank Faulkner, Paul Iverson, Shawn Peters; sisters-in-law Ronda Iverson, Megan Peters, Connie Peters; and friend, Julia Andrejewski; five nephews and two nieces, and a host of family members and friends.
Gary battled metastatic colorectal cancer for three years until his final day when the disease took his life. He passed peacefully at home with loving family members by his side until his last breath. He put up a good fight, but in the end God had other plans for him.
