Gary “Mouse” Harris, age 64, passed away peacefully surround by his family on January 28, 2016 in Cedar City, Utah. Gary was born on September 26, 1951 in Taft, California. He attended Taft Union High School and graduated in 1970. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Upon returning to Taft he married Janet Conley on October 6, 1973. Gary worked in the oil industry his entire career and was proud of the time he worked. He was employed by General Production for 22 years, Nabors for 14 years, Key Energy for four years and returned to General Production for four years before retiring in 2015. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Oleta Harris. He is survived by his wife, Janet; daughter and son-in-law, Leanna and Matthew Handy; grandchildren, Ethan, Keira and Lily; his brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Debbie Harris; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Although we wished for more time with Gary, he lived a full and rich life. He will be dearly missed.
