Gary Gene Ruhl went home to be with our Lord Tuesday, August 20, 2019. His 44 year battle with cancer has come to an end peacefully. He departed this earth surrounded by his loving family. Gary was born January 3, 1951 to his parents, Herman and Carolyn Ruhl, and sister Linda in Denver Colorado. Gary grew up in Aurora, Colorado where he attended and graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1969. Upon completion of high school Gary went on to the next chapter in his life by enrolling in college at the University of Denver. He elected to pursue his dreams in the field of accounting. He graduated from DU with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting in 1973. Gary then began his professional career as a self-proclaimed “Bean Counter” with St. Anthony Hospital System. He entered as a budget analyst and worked his way up to budget controller. During this time is when he met his soon to be loving wife Susan.
