Gary Gene Evol, 60, of St. Bernice, and formerly of Phoenix, Arizona, passed peacefully at his mother’s home on Monday, December 16, 2013. Gary was born on October 17, 1953 in Clinton, Indiana to Danny D. Evol and Mary Catherine Payton of Clinton. He is preceded in death by his father Dandy and a niece, Jeanna. Gary is survived by his adoring mother Mary, two sons; Scott M. Mathews (Cheri) of Italy, and Cody D. Evol (Will), of San Francisco, California, and eight grandchildren; Wyatt, Sheyanne, Morgan, Rebecah, Caitlyn, Zachery, Grace, and Alex; and former wives Linda Mathews of Wauconda, Illinois and Desiree Lysne of Mesa, Arizona. Also surviving is his Brother Daniel Evol and Linda Delaney, six sisters; Kathy (Peter) Duffy of Homestead, Florida, Cindy (Dan) Millison of  Illinois, Jayne of Vero Beach, Florida, Teresa , Lynn and (Kevin) Bowman of Macs Creek, and Amy (Tim) Smith of Clinton, Indiana. Also several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and special companion, Hope Phillips.

Gary was a retired general contractor who had worked a short time prior to his retirement at Lowe’s in Terre Haute. He was most recently a member of the Blanford Sportsman Club, Isaac Walton League, Sons of American Legion, and the Carpenter Union.
