Muncie – Gary E. Porter, 66, passed away early Monday Morning, June 6, 2011, at Liberty Village Health Care Center following an extended illness.
Gary was born in Muncie on February 1, 1945, the son of John and Wilma (Davison) Porter, and was a 1963 graduate of Muncie Central High School.
Mr. Porter proudly served in the United States Army in the Signal Corp. He was employed with Lift a loft for over 23 years.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Mardi Porter, Muncie; two sons, Makenzie Porter, Muncie, and Yancy Porter, (wife-Teala), Muncie; a brother, Larry Porter, (wife-Sharon), Muncie; a sister, Kathy Wilker, (husband-Sam), Muncie; a niece Tammy Rhoad, (husband-Shawn), Muncie; a nephew, Charles Porter, (wife-Dawn), Muncie; an uncle, David Porter, (wife-Roberta), McCordsville; and six great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
