Gary Dean Prickett, 73, of Caldwell, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at home of natural causes.
Gary was born April 12, 1943 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa to Dolliver (Doc) Jennings Prickett and Velma Lucille Kinney. He joined a sister, Lola Mae. At the age of 6 months they moved to Idaho. Gary attended all 12 years of education in Notus. There he met his wife of 53 years, Wanda Lynn Ingle. They were married on December 22, 1962. To this union two children were born, Lori Lynn and Gregory Dean. Gary started his lifelong profession of cooking at the College of Idaho, Saratoga Hotel and Pollards Cow Palace Café before going to work at Lakey’s Café for 33 years until May 1997, and was then a food tech at Mercy Medical Hospital until retiring in April of 2006. He made many lifelong friends.
Gary was preceded in death by both parents, and a sister.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda, of Caldwell; daughter, Lori (Kevin) Moffis, of Caldwell; son, Greg, of Boise; granddaughter, Paula (Al) Blood, of Middleton; grandson, Ty Moffis, of Nampa; and four great grandchildren.
