Gary’s vivacious, strong- willed personality could not be tamed here on earth and he was called home to be with his Lord on Friday, November 13, 2009 in Bakersfield, California after a short illness. He was born July 14, 1950 in Byron, California. In 1961 he moved with his mother, father and sister to Taft, California where he finished his schooling, graduating from Taft Union High School in 1968. During this time he also found his passion for the oil industry which provided him a career that spanned the rest of his life and took him all over the world to such places as China, Trinidad and various parts of the United States as a Drilling Engineer Consultant. He always had great stories to share about his work related projects and the people and companies he worked with, such as Red Adair and Boots and Coots to name a few.
