Gary Dale Beck, 61, of Jacksonville, died Friday morning, July 13, 2007 at his residence.
Mr. Beck was born Aug. 21, 1945 in Jacksonville, the son of James Osco and Vanita Rose Grigg Beck and she survives in Jacksonville.
He is also survived by three sons, Craig, Jason and Adrian; two daughters, Gwen and Andrea; seven grandchildren; one brother, Jim; three sisters, Patti, Sue and Sheri. He was preceded in death by one sister, Jeanine.
Mr. Beck was a graduate of Jacksonville High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and he was stationed in Cuba and Alaska. Mr. Beck was a lifetime member of Amvets. He was a carpenter in the Jacksonville and Chicago area for many years. He enjoyed baseball all his life, and an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
