Gary Dean Moore, 66, of Newton died on Friday, October 6, 2017, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Gary, the son of Fred A. and Rosie R. (Bohne) Moore, was born on December 19, 1950 in Newton. He graduated from Newton High School in 1969 and attended classes at Drake University. Gary and his brother, Randy, were the second generation owners of Moore Tool and Die in Newton. After the company’s closing, Gary later worked as a machinist for Fisher Controls in Marshalltown. Gary was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and Iowa Wrestling season ticket holder.
