Gary Charles Doane Age 80 of Owosso passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Hospice House of Shiawassee County.There will be no services at this was born December 3, 1936 in Owosso, the son of John and Ruth (Rainey) Doane, proudly served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Owosso VFW enjoyed playing cards and being outdoors; hunting and fishing. Gary was an avid NASCAR fan and looked forward to puttering in his pole married Betty Gasek at St. Joseph Catholic Church on January 16, retired from Johnson Controls after 27 1/2 years of service and was a member of the UAW retirees Local is survived by his wife of 57 years Betty; children Michele Lynn Doane and Kevin Michael Doane; grandson Aaron Michael Doane; dog Cha-Cha; many other loving family and was predeceased by his parents and sister Sally.
