Gary A. Hnyla, Jr., 37, a lifetime resident of Pasadena, and a part time resident of Columbia, died suddenly on January 16, 2012 at his home.
He was born on April 12, 1974, at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, to Mary (nee Dean) and Gary Hnyla, Sr. After graduating from Archbishop Spalding High School, he joined the US Army, serving from 1992 to 1996 in the military police.
He predeceased by his grandparents: Dee and Jerry Hnyla, and Cleo and Charles Dean.
He is survived by his two sisters: Kim Ireland and Donna McCallister, both of Pasadena; two uncles: David Dean, of Carroll County, and Thomas Hnyla, of Pasadena; his aunt Gail Hirbig, of Pasadena; three nieces: Melissa Ireland, Natalie McCallister, and Kaydence Moore; and four nephews: James Ireland, Jr., Nathan and Nicolas McCallister, and Keith Moore, Jr.
