MAYS LICK Garry Frank Parkey, 49, of May’s Lick passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.
Garry was born in Michigan on December 2, 1962 son of Clara Miller Jameel of Alabama and the late Bruce Parkey. Garry was an inspiration to his family and friends as he fought cancer with courage, strength and grace over a one and a half year period. He was raised in Hayden , AL where he attended Hayden High School.
He leaves behind to treasure his memory his beloved wife, Ginger Parkey, his twin brother Larry Parkey of May’s Lick; his loving mother, Clara Jameel; his older brother Wayne Parkey; a sister Nancy (Pete) D’Anna, and nieces & nephews LeAnn (Brett) Wood; Anthony Connell and Nico D’Anna, all of AL; an uncle Frank Parkey of Michigan. He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, George and Allie Miller; Ninnie Bocewicz and Rhea Parkey.
