Garry Adams, 59, of Spirit Lake passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017, at Avera McKenna Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Garry was born on November 23, 1957 in Nevada, IA to Thomas and Helen L. (Hyland) Adams.
He graduated from Rockwell City High School in Rockwell City, IA. He furthered his education at DMACC earning his degree in Auto Mechanics. Garry was a Auto Parts Manager working at Carver Ford in Rockwell City, Pierson Ford in Spencer and Jay Cox Implement in Lake Park. He was most recently employed with Ficks Ace Hardware in Spirit Lake. Garry enjoyed playing golf, pool, and going boating. He is survived by his daughter Ashley (Anthony) Butler of Menifee, CA; son Andrew Adams of San Antonio, TX; two grandchildren Brock and Hailee Butler; mother Helen Hyland (Adams) of Rogers, MN; companion Carol LeClaire of Spirit Lake; brothers Timothy Adams of Maple Grove, MN; Todd (Dee) Adams of Circle Pines, MN; and Kent (Suzanne) Adams of Rochester, MN; sister Sherri Adams of Maple Grove, MN; 3 nephews and 1 niece.
He was preceded in death by his father.
