Garnett Cumbo, age 90, passed away at her home in Cottonport on Saturday, June 11th, 2022.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Mecshelle Kochinsky (Randy) and Jacqueline Desoto (Douglas); her brother, Wilkerson “Joe” Couty, Jr. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren: Ashley Morgan, Porscha Cassola, Eric Desoto, Brandy Couvillion, Christopher Desoto, and Alicia Vannatta; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilkerson Sr. and Etta Rachal Couty; siblings, Marie Scimeca, Ella Galvan, Willie Mae Couty, June Ellen Miller, and James “Oakie” Couty; and her 2nd husband, Sam Cumbo, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her grandchildren: Sidra Nicole Coutee, Mecshelle Sunny Morgan, Gaetano Joseph Cassola, and Timothy Dwayne Desoto.
