Garnet M. Weatherford of Anderson, passed away, September 21, 2017 at St. Vincent, Anderson Regional Health, Anderson, IN.

She was born, August 1, 1920 in Lapel, Indiana and resided most of her life in Anderson. Garnet graduated from Lapel High School. She retired from Delco Remy division of General Motors in 1982 after 43 years of service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Anderson for over 50 years, the Sigma chapter of Sigma Beta Sorority and was active in many bowling leagues in this area for many years, and was inducted into the Indiana State Bowling Hall of Fame.

Garnet is survived by her children, Nancy (Weldon) Farley of Punta Gorda, FL, son, John (Kathy) Weatherford of Stanley, NC, siblings, Gail Brant of Anderson, Mary Lewis of Indianapolis, Maxine Leslie of Muncie and Dennis Milburn of Lapel, sister in law, Betty (Gene) Crosley of Fishers, grandchildren, Brooke (Rocky) Faw, Daniel (Erin) Farley and Christopher (Jessica) Farley, John (Amanda) Hansil, Bailey (Mandy) Hansil, great-grandchildren, Griffin Faw, Dallas Farley, Morgann Farley, Bobby Farley, Charlotte Hansil, and Parker Hansil. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband whom she married, June 27, 1941, David Weatherford who passed away March, 2012, her parents, Cyrus and Bessie Milburn, siblings, John Milburn, Charles Milburn, Carolyn Hendricks, Lloyd Milburn, and Charlotte Fabian.
