Mr. Garland Taylor “G-Man” Manley, Jr., age 77, of Lanett, AL passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at his residence. He was born on June 3, 1939 in Roanoke, AL.
Mr. Manley is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ann Weed Manley; five children, Kacey “GT” Manley, Melody (Brad) Brown, Constance “Cricket” Manley, Julie (Randall) Kendrick, and Scott Garland Manley; six grandchildren, Trevor, Mandy, Kacey, Joshua, Kendall, and Levi; seven great grandchildren, Jessica Rose, Taylor, Joshua Taylor, Haleigh, Makayla, Kaydens, and Jayclen; great-great grandchild, McKenzie; brother-in-law, W.A. Williams. He was preceded in death by his granddaughters, Jessica Lynn Manley and Rachel Scott Kendrick; mother, Marie Baldwin Manley Hornsby; father, Garland T. Manley, Sr.; step father, Cecil Hornsby; sister, Miriam Wynette Williams.
Mr. Manley attended the Lanett First Church of the Nazarene. He was a very active member of the Lanett Masonic Lodge #656. He was a great pool player and liked going to tournaments. He enjoyed old cars, Elvis, telling jokes, traveling, and going for drives. He loved his grandchildren and was an avid Alabama fan.
