Garland K. Bachman, 76, of rural Oglesby, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Mr. Bachman was born April 6, 1941 in Eureka to Lester and Evaline (Bailey) Bachman. He was a graduate of Eureka High School.
He married Claudia (Donnelly) Duncan in 2001 in LaSalle. He was manager and owner of Miltran Inc. a division of Dean Foods, for 37 years, retiring in 2010. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Claudia; six children, Julie (David) Philyaw of Chillicothe, Vicki Bachman of Peru, Randy (Michellee) Bachman of White Lake, MI, Melinda Bachman of Peoria, Jennifer Harris of Peru and Patrick (Rebecca) Duncan of Birmingham, AL; thirteen grandchildren, Amber (Joel) Taylor, Drake (Phina) Philyaw, Erin (Michael) Hill, Jillian (Tyler) Dicks, Tyler, Hunter and Chloe Bachman, Matt and Max Harris, Taylor and Tatum Duncan, Kendall Gerbitz and Giuliana Duncan; five great-grandchildren, Bradyn, Luke, Alyssa, Lexi and Sydney; two brothers, Verne (Linda) Bachman of Port St. Lucie, FL and Marvin (Yvonne) Bachman of Lakeland, FL and one nephew, Trent Bachman. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Tim Duncan. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren and John Dittle.
