Mr. Garland Brown was born February 3, 1973 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Ralph and Gwendolyn Petty Brown. He departed this life on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at his residence in Decatur.
At an early age, Garland confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized in Jesus Name under the leadership of Bishop Herman Finley. He joined the Apostolic Church of God.
He attended Austin High School. He was employed by Copeland Corporation in Hartselle until May 2007 when he was struck by a car and became totally disabled. Garland kept faith in God and fought a good fight until the end.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Gwendolyn Brown, one brother, Ralph Cortez Brown, sister, Rachel Brown and grandparents, Alvin Thomas House and Willis and Louise Boulden Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memory; a devoted wife, Beverly Denise Little; four children, Jerred Jolly, Racheal Jolly, Teonna Little and Zechariah Little all of Decatur; four brothers, Alvin Thomas Brown Sr. (Mary) of Decatur, Feodis Brown (Anguise) of Atlanta, GA, Darren Brown of Athens, and John Brown of Montgomery; grandmother, Helen Sanders of Decatur; one sister-in-law, Daphine Harper of Decatur; five brothers-in-law, Tyrone, Terrence, Gabriel, Thomas and William Little all of Decatur and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
