Garlan Paul Eaton, 76, of Dalton,Georgia, died peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. He was born May 16, 1941 in Murray County to Z.H., Sr., and Ethel Eaton. Many people knew him from his work in the tile and floor covering business in Dalton and the surrounding area. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his four brothers, Thomas, Edward, Obe Lee, and Ray Eaton of Dalton; and three sisters, Anna Marie Jordan, Linnie Mae Slaughter, and Evelyn Eaton of Dalton. He is survived by his wife, Connie Eaton; his daughter, Millette Bryant and son-in-law Johnny Bryant; his son, Garlan Eaton; stepson, Chad Fiest; four granddaughters, five great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Z. Hill, Jr. and Charlotte Eaton, and Vernon Eaton and Shirley Hawkins of Dalton; and one sister, Virginia Gilbertson of Felton, CA. The family wishes to thank North Georgia Cancer Care and Regency Park Health Rehabilitation for their kind treatment of Paul in his final days.
