Galen V. Lassiter, 66, Huntington, IN died 7:59 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Lassiter was born on January 26, 1943 in Huntington to Floyd and Clara Sickafoose Lassiter. His parents preceded him in death. Mr. Lassiter was a 1961 graduate of Jefferson Township High School. He married Sue A. Rader June 22, 1963. She survives and resides in Huntington. Mr. Lassiter retired as a grinder at General Electric, Fort Wayne.
He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN. In addition to his wife, Galen is survived by a son: Keith Lassiter, Huntington; three daughters: Julie Willson, Springfield, Missouri, Cheryl (Bob) Norris, Camdenton, Missouri, and Peggy Fields, Warren; a brother: Laurel Lassiter, Knoxville, TN; and a sister: Wanda (Edwin) Campbell, Warren; eight grandchildren: Krystin Peterson, Krya Goodyear, Anthony Fields, Jessica Fields, Kristi Lassiter, Krista Norris, Adam Norris, and Kolin Lassiter, three great-grandchildren: Hannah Peterson, Talon Peterson, and Alyia Fields. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother: Weldon Lassiter.
