Gail Lester Swiger, Sr., 79, of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family by his side. He was born October 4, 1935 in Clarksburg, WV, the son of the late Aubrey L. Swiger and Helen M. (Goodwin) Swiger.
Gail is survived by his wife of 60 years, Verma R. (sandy) Swiger; two daughters, Lola Tipton & John Harman and Sherry & Frank Aiello; two sons, Gail Swiger, Jr and Dick & Evelyn Swiger; seventeen grandchildren, Mark, Andrea, Jordan, Chase, Levi, John, Alicia, Sheena, Shawn, Matt, Jessica, Shantee, Dalton, Colton, Desirae, Hunter and Cody; nine great grandchildren, Alexis, Neaveah, Alyvia, Landry, Jacob, Dillion, Lilly, Chantel, Noah; eight sisters, Anna Hickman, Minnie Costelle, Robin Gonzalez, Kathy Richison, Cindy Skinner, Connie Swiger, and Charlene Swiger; six brothers,Fay Swiger, Dick Swiger, Rex Swiger, Frenchie Swiger, Mike Swiger, Danny Swiger and Jack Swiger;
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brother, George, Denny, Joe, Loyl, Gene, Gary, and; two sister, Thelma, and JoAnn.
Gail retired from AL Swiger and son as a welder.
