Gail J. Ratliff (1957-2017)
59, of Indianapolis, passed away at home with family and friends by her side on Sunday January 15, 2017. Gail was a gentle soul, with a huge heart that never met a stranger. She had a contagious laugh, and loved to make people smile. She was a big animal lover, and loved to care for them. She will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
Gail graduated from Howe High School in 1975, and until her illness was employed as the Fire & Safety Manager at CCA of Indianapolis. She was previously employed as the Security Manager at Winona Hospital and worked for FedEx for several years.
Gail is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Gwendolyn Ratliff, her sisters Glenda J. Esteb (Ratliff), and Gay J. Harwood (Ratliff), and brother Owen T. Ratliff.
Gail is survived by her son, Zachary Gale Shafer; her brothers, Larry D. Ratliff, Ronald L. Ratliff, Robert M. Ratliff, and sister, Gloria J. Ratliff; Many nieces and nephews; her bestie, Kellie J. Dugan, and forever angel, Brenda J. Dugan; her two dogs, Cagney & Lacey, and her beloved cats.
