Gail E. Ford, of Merchantville went to be with Our Father on Monday, October 3, 2016 joining her parents, William and Hazel Ford, and her brother, Gerald Ford. Gail grew up in Trenton, NJ; attending Hamilton High School where she excelled in the Police Athletic League in softball. Attending Ursinus College; Gail graduated in 1961 with a BA in English and wrote for the campus literary magazine and newspaper. Gail was commissioned into the United States Navy in August 1961 where she was an Unrestricted Line Officer for 30 years active and reserve duty; retiring in 1991 as a Captain. Gail and her friend Shirley Brown operated a senior citizen boarding home in Merchantville for a time; while publishing a local paper detailing the goings-on in the Merchantville scene (known by her acerbic wit!).

Gail is survived by her brother, William C. Ford of Holden, MA and her sister, Kathleen Cavaney of Athens, GA.
